The role

What an accredited carbon verifier does under CCTS

Under the compliance mechanism, every obligated entity reports its greenhouse gas emission intensity for the compliance year. Before BEE assesses that figure against the entity’s target, it must be checked by an Accredited Carbon Verification Agency that is accredited for the entity’s sector.

What we check

The boundary, the monitoring plan, production, fuel and feedstock data, GCV analyses, meter calibration, grid and captive power, emission factors and the arithmetic behind the reported intensity. Every material figure is traced back to source records and checked at site.

What you receive

A verification report and a verification statement that give our opinion on the reported emission intensity, ready for submission to BEE, together with the corrective action and clarification requests raised and closed during the assignment.

  1. Open the BEE register of Accredited Carbon Verification Agencies.
  2. Match the accreditation number (ours is ACVA012), not just the company name.
  3. Confirm the mechanism is Compliance or Both. Offset-only accreditation cannot verify an obligated entity.
  4. Confirm your sector is named in that agency’s row.
  5. Confirm the validity covers your verification period and the row is not on hold.
Sectors

Our five accredited CCTS sectors

Accreditation is granted sector by sector. The number on each card is how many agencies on the BEE register are accredited for that sector under the compliance mechanism (register checked 24 October 2026).

We are one of only two agencies in India accredited to verify fertiliser sector obligated entities under the CCTS compliance mechanism. The other is PGS Energy Services (ACVA005).

Method

How a verification with us runs

Six stages, from the independence check at appointment to the verification statement you submit to BEE.

  1. Appointment and independence check

We confirm there is no conflict of interest with your plant for the reporting period, as the BEE accreditation procedure requires.

  2. Monitoring plan review

Your emission monitoring plan is checked against the methodology notified for your sector, including the boundary and the product basis.

  3. Desk verification

Production, fuel and feedstock receipts, GCV analyses, calibration certificates, grid and captive power, and emission factors.

  4. Site verification visit

Physical check of flow meters, CT ratios, weighbridge records, DCS trends and log sheets against the reported values.

  5. Findings and closure

Corrective action requests, clarification requests and forward action requests raised and closed with your team.

  6. Verification statement

The verification report and statement, with our opinion on your reported emission intensity, for submission to BEE.

Why us

Why obligated entities appoint ACVA012

Energy engineers, not only auditors

We have carried out statutory energy audits since 2011, and PAT scheme Monitoring & Verification audits for designated consumers and DISCOMs. Our verifiers know how a plant’s meters, fuel weighment and DCS records actually behave, which is where most emission intensity errors start.

A precise, stated scope

We verify only in the five sectors we are accredited for, and we say so plainly. For aluminium, cement, chlor-alkali and textile we offer readiness advisory only, never verification, so your verification can never be challenged on our scope.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Namdhari Eco Energies an accredited carbon verifier in India?

Yes. Namdhari Eco Energies Pvt Ltd holds accreditation number ACVA012 from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, as an Accredited Carbon Verification Agency under the Carbon Credit Trading Scheme, for the compliance mechanism. The accreditation is provisional and valid from 25 June 2026 to 24 June 2027, and it can be checked on the official BEE register.

What is an Accredited Carbon Verification Agency (ACVA)?

An ACVA is an organisation accredited by BEE to verify greenhouse gas data under India’s Carbon Credit Trading Scheme. Under the compliance mechanism, an ACVA verifies the emission intensity reported by an obligated entity before BEE assesses it against its target.

Which sectors is ACVA012 accredited for?

Fertiliser, iron and steel, petrochemicals, petroleum refinery, and pulp and paper. We are not accredited for aluminium, cement, chlor-alkali or textile, and we hold no offset mechanism accreditation.

How many accredited carbon verification agencies are there in India?

The BEE register lists 18 agencies, ACVA001 to ACVA018, as of 24 October 2026. Thirteen are accredited for the compliance mechanism (one of them for both mechanisms) and six for the offset mechanism. One listing is shown as on hold. See our full list of accredited carbon verification agencies in India.

Can our energy auditor or CCTS consultant also be our verifier?

Not for the same reporting period. Verification requires independence from the entity being verified. If an agency has prepared or advised on your monitoring plan or emission data for a period, it cannot verify that period.

Is Verra, Gold Standard or ISO certification enough for CCTS verification?

No. CCTS compliance verification has to be done by an agency that BEE has accredited for the compliance mechanism and for your sector. Accreditation under voluntary carbon programmes does not substitute for it.

How long does a CCTS verification take?

It depends on the plant and on how ready the data is. A typical assignment runs through a desk review, a site verification visit and the closure of findings, and a plant with a sound monitoring plan and calibrated meters moves through it fastest. We confirm the timeline with the quote.
